The first Annual George Pherigo Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, Sept 18th, at Rocky River Country Club in Concord.

The meeting started at 6:00pm, we saw the demonstrations, then had a free dinner thanks to EPRI.
What a great evening, not only did we see Welding and NDT but Chemical and Metallographic Labs also.

Our Schedule Was:
The meeting started at 6:00pm. We enjoyed a plant tour at Siemens, then had a free dinner thanks to Siemens.
It was a real privilege to see the Siemens Plant, we got to see how NDT is used in the refurbishment of power generation equipment.

Phased Array Class

Our Schedule Was:
The class was held from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. During a classroom session in the morning, attendees were presented with the fundamentals of phased array theory and some of it's applications. The afternoon session consisted of hands-on exercises using phased array equipment.

EPRI Prism

"An aggressive strategy to cut carbon dioxide emissions and meet electricity demand between now and 2030 requires equally aggressive research, development, and demonstration for several advanced technologies. Recent EPRI research in seven advanced technology areas shows how a combination of technologies could drastically reduce the impact of CO2 costs to the U.S. economy. These goals are illustrated in the Prism presentation."
